Solva Boat Trips

Solva Boat Trips sail from Solva, a picturesque North Pembrokeshire village, 3 miles from St. Davids. The vessel, MV Swift is an Offshore 105 licensed to carry 12 passengers with two crew (Welsh spoken). The cathedral hull design means that she is particularly stable at sea and offers a secure, seated ride.

A one-hour traditional boat trips leaving the picturesque fjord-like harbour taking in the beautiful cliffs and wildlife around the islands of Solva.

Watch first-hand the lifting of a lobster pot and discover what it contains in the way of local marine life.

North Bay Cruise

A leisurely cruise discovering the delights of the North side of
St Bride’s Bay – from Solva to Ramsey Sound.  We will also show you the ancient cliffs where stone was quarried and used to build St. David’s Cathedral.
During the trip we will lift a lobster pot, hoping to find a
lobster, crab or who knows what else!

Mackerel and Pollack Catch

1½ Hours
All ages £15.00 

Fun fishing for all. Feather and spin for mackerel or pollack along the
North Pembrokeshire coast. Rods and tackle are supplied (you must
be aged 12 or over to fish) and the crew can assist novice anglers.
A fish cleaning demonstration can be provided if required, and what
you catch you keep – for dinner perhaps?

Shearwater Sensation - evenings only June-August

A two hour evening voyage to an area between the north of Skomer Island and the south  of Ramsey Island, where we wait midstream for the
sensational return of thousands of shearwaters from Cardigan Bay, as they head back to their nesting sites on Skomer Island.

The vessel meets the very latest stringent MCA safety standards. Safety on board is paramount and all the necessary safety equipment is carried. All passengers agree to adhere to all instructions issued by the Skipper, whose decision is final. All crew are MCA licenced and WiSe

Find us on the quayside at Solva Harbour - once you’re in the lower part of the village, the harbour entrance can’t be missed.
Boarding is from Trinity Quay at high tide or the Beach Landing Stage at low tide.
Note there is no parking on Trinity Quay, please
park at the free car park in Lower Solva, a short walk away.
