The Area
Solva is nestled in a steep sided valley at the head of natural, sandy bottomed harbour and an attractive quayside.
It is an ideal base for surfing, sailing, canoeing, coasteering, golfing, riding walking, fishing, bird watching, crabbing, and just relaxing!
At low tide a small sandy beach is exposed just below the main free public car park, and it is sometimes possible to walk around the headland to a secluded cove on the left hand side.
St David’s ( Britain’s smallest city) is just a few miles west with its majestic Cathedral, Bishops Place and craft shops. From here you can take boat trips to offshore islands for seal and birdspotting.
A short drive will take you to the excellent surf beaches of Newgale,Whitesands and Carfai.
